LAKE PARK, GA –  The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man in possession of 20 grams of crystal methamphetamine after a routine traffic stop.

On Monday afternoon, around 5:30 investigators from the Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle being driven by William Daniel Snelgrove on Lakes Boulevard in Lake Park.  During a search of the vehicle investigators located approximately 20 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine, approximately .3 grams powder Methamphetamine, digital scales, plastic bags and 2 handguns.  The recovered Methamphetamine has an approximate value of $2,000.  Also during the course of the traffic stop, Daniel Snelgrove provided the investigators a false name.

Daniel Snelgrove was arrested and taken to the Lowndes County Jail where he was booked on giving false name, possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.  He will appeared in the Lowndes County Magistrate Court yesterday afternoon for an arraignment hearing where a bond will be considered.
