VALDOSTA, GA – On Sunday, March 2, the City of Valdosta will remove a hazardous tree in the right-of-way on Jerry Jones Drive. Work is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. and to be completed by midnight. Due to the nature of the work, lane closures will be necessary from Gornto Road to Country Club Drive.

Motorists will be alerted of the lane closures with adequate traffic signage and will be safely directed around the tree removal site. Citizens should find alternate routes, if possible; or drive cautiously when traveling through this area.
