George-Aigen VALDOSTA, GA – Drafted into the Army at age 18, Cpl. George Aigen is walking World War II history.

George Aigen will be discussing his experiences during World War II on Tuesday, March 4 at 1:00 p.m. at Valdosta State University’s Continuing Education Building, across from the Crescent on N. Patterson St.

Aigen stayed quiet about his time in the Army during WWII until recently. He believes he must share his story to younger generations, so they will never forget the atrocities that took place in concentration camps in WWII.

Aigen will be telling his story of liberating Dachau Concentration Camp in Germany, and he will also be speaking on his time fighting in France. The event is free and open to the public.
