Cordele Fugitive Has Been Caught

handcuffs CORDELE, GA – The manhunt for Malcolm Thomas ended on Thursday. A police officer saw Thomas at 13th street in Cordele on Tuesday morning and chased him to 15th street. Officers searched the heavily wooded area near the Norbord Plant looking for Thomas. Thomas eluded police until Thursday when they captured him peacefully.

Thomas is being charged with three counts of Felony Aggravated Assault, Felony Firearm Possession by Convicted Felon, Felony Firearm/Knife Possession during Crime/Attempt Crime, two counts Felony Terroristic Threats, Misdemeanor Battery and a Parole Warrant.

Officials from the Cordele Police Department, Sheriff’s Office, Dooly and GBI all assisted in the manhunt.
