It’s been nearly a year since the Bank of America at Gornto and Baytree was robbed at gunpoint. Federal officials on Thursday released surveillance stills from that December 20th incident, showing two heavily armed man holding up the bank.
The two robbers got away with an unknown amount of cash and fled in a Jeep, which was found abandoned near The Grove apartments just minutes after the robbery.
One suspect is described as about 6’2, 220 pounds and in his early 20’s. A third getaway driver was also likely involved. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact the Valdosta Police or the FBI.
