A man accused of raping a Moultrie woman back in January of 2012 has been acquitted of all charges. The woman claimed 46-year old Floyd Coates assaulted her at a home on Shade Murphy Road nearly 18 months ago.

According to the county clerk’s office, Coates heard his acquittal Wednesday inside a Colquitt County courtroom. Coates was already on parole after serving 22 years in prison for the 1985 murder of 16-year-old Anterrio Jones.
