Valdosta, GA- A two-car accident on Old Statenville Road Monday morning has claimed the life of a Valdosta senior citizen. Police say 75-year old Ophelia Woods crossed the center line in her Oldsmobile Ciera just before 10 yesterday morning.

She struck a Chevy Silverado head on and was unresponsive at the scene. She was taken to SGMC where she was pronounced dead. Investigators have not yet ruled on a cause of death, and have not ruled out the possibility that the accident was caused by a medical episode.

The driver of the Silverado was uninjured.
