A former Tallahassee City Commissioner along with his former business partner were sentenced to prison in a multi-year power scheme to extract bribes from companies in Tallahassee. Scott Maddox was sentenced along with Paige Carter-Smith in a 44-count indictment including charges of extortion, making false financial statements to institutions, bribery, along with many more charges.
