VPD arrests former business employee for burglary

VALDOSTA – The Valdosta Police Department has arrested a former employee of a commercial business for burglary.

Release:

Arrested: Gregory Frost, African American male, 39 years of age, Valdosta resident

On November 28, 2022, at approximately 8:27 am., a Valdosta Police Officer responded to a commercial business in the 1600 block of Clay Road after the owner called E911 to report a burglary. Through evidence collected at the scene, a former employee Gregory Frost, 39 years of age, was identified as entering the business and removing over $8,500 worth of copper wire. Frost was no longer on the scene.

On November 29, 2022, officers obtained arrest warrants on Frost for:

Burglary in the second degree-felony; and
Tampering with evidence-felony.

On April 19, 2023, at approximately 1100 pm., a Valdosta Police Officer was patrolling in the 800 block of Ponderosa Drive when he observed a vehicle traveling recklessly in the area. The officer conducted a traffic stop and Frost was identified as the driver. The officer confirmed that Frost’s arrest warrants were still active.
Frost was arrested and transported to Lowndes County Jail on the active arrest warrants.
