The Tift County School Board put the issue of uniforms to a vote of parents, students and staff…and somewhat unsurprisingly, the numbers came back in favor of letting kids wear their own clothes to school.

Parents voted against uniforms by a 56-44 margin, students were over a 2-1 margin against the uniforms, however, the staff voted nearly 2-to-1 in favor of a uniform policy.

Board members decided to do away with uniform policy althogether, saying that “the public didn’t want them.”
