$3,000 Check Presented to Partnership Cancer Fund

cancer awareness breast ribbonVALDOSTA, GA – On Monday, October 21st, Freeman S. Rivers, Sr., presented a check of $3,000 to committee members of the Partnership Cancer Fund and employees of South Georgia Medical Center’s Pearlman Cancer Center. The fund financially supports Lowndes County cancer patients to help pay for medications, nutritional needs, transportation, and medical equipment. The presentation of the check was held in honor of  Mrs. Eula Copeland who passed away in January from cancer. Ms. Copeland was the founder of the Hahira Cancer Day that started in 2009 and continues in her memory.
