Winnersville Ticket Clarification and Parking Information

LOWNDES CO., Ga. – In a statement released Wednesday afternoon from the Lowndes County School System, it was announced that given the elevated excitement associated with the Winnersville Classic, September 27, 2019, clarification was needed regarding sales of tickets and parking.

This will be the best game in the state as both teams are number one in their division and will both enter into this game undefeated.  The demand for tickets for this game is greater than usual!

The statement continue by saying that there has been confusion regarding tickets. For the past 17 years, Lowndes and Valdosta have exchanged the same amount of tickets for the Winnersville Classic; this year was no different.  Lowndes County Schools sold priority tickets Monday, September 23.

Touchdown Club members were allowed to purchase tickets at The Mill during the weekly coach’s show, at 6:00 p.m.

At 7:30 p.m., Viking reserved seat season ticket holders were allowed to purchase the number of reserved season tickets they hold at Martin Stadium.  Tuesday morning, September 24, at 7 a.m., the remaining 1,000+ tickets went on sale to the general public and sold out late that morning.

LCS expects a record crowd and wants to ensure that everyone has a fun and safe game experience.

On behalf of the Lowndes County Board of Education, Lowndes High School, and the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office, we are pleased to announce that there will be additional parking provided at no charge for the Winnersville Classic Football Game. Additional parking will be located in the grass lot across Norman Drive directly in front of Wal-Mart, next to The Repeat Boutique (signs will be posted). Entrance to this lot is off of River Street. Security and shuttle service to and from Martin Stadium will be provided. The shuttle service will begin at 6:00 p.m. to Martin Stadium and the return shuttle service from Martin Stadium to the grass lot will begin at the start of the 4th quarter.  We are providing this service in an effort to help fans travel to and from the game safely.

Again, it is our hope that everyone has a safe and fun experience cheering on our awesome athletes!
