Georgia Power employees complete service project at Frances K. Davis Park

The Albany, Bainbridge, Tifton and Valdosta chapters of Citizens of Georgia Power recently partnered to complete a Georgia Power Legacy project in the Pelham community.

Members met at Frances K. Davis Park to complete several projects Some volunteers completed beautification projects to the rest areas while others updated the basketball playing area, cleaned bleachers, installed new protective safety railing along the outfield fence, and replaced and painted damaged wood on the two dugouts at the baseball field. Chapter members also assembled and installed a new commercial grade swing set and slide.

Citizens of Georgia Power is the employee volunteer arm of Georgia Power Company. With 42 chapters statewide and more than 3,400 members, consisting of employees and their spouses, volunteers contributed more than 143,000 hours equal to $3.5 million in 2019
