ATLANTA, Ga. – While more states are legalizing the use of marijuana, police are seeing an increase of people that are driving while high, according to WSB-TV.
A prototype was tested at the University of Pittsburgh and it reportedly worked. The next test, according to federal regulation, would be for the machine to not only detect the THC but also tell how much is present.
A new challenge that this would present is deciding the amount of THC that would cause a driver to be impaired.
Pot breathalyzers can be ready to sell before the end of the year.
