DOUGLAS, Ga. – The Douglas Police Department welcomed the newest member of their law enforcement family, Mando.

Mando was abandoned and several officers have “adopted” him as the DPD mascot. He had a busy day yesterday and assisted in his first case. He was able to recover approximately $2500 in stolen currency during his first investigation.

Mando is still in the first phase of the FTO program and isn’t quite potty-trained yet. He must be potty-trained before graduating to the next phase of the FTO program. If you see Mando out on patrol or on a call, please welcome him to the DPD family.
