MONTGOMERY, Al. – During a Facebook Live stream on Thursday, 34-year-old Roosevelt Rankins was shot to death, according to AL.com. Montgomery police Captain Regina Duckett confirmed that the Facebook video is related to the killing.

The video lasted for a total of 45 minutes and around 20 minutes into the video a person can be seen coming up to the window before a gunshot is heard and the phone is dropped. The car then accelerates and a crash is heard moments later.

The father of the victim, Army veteran Roosevelt Rankins Sr., spoke on the violence in the community and aims to step up.
