YATESVILLE, Ga.- A Lighthouse in the Middle of Georgia?
Yes.
A.D. Williams, who owned a large peach farm near Yatesville, built this fieldstone “lighthouse” in addition to a clubhouse, dance hall, and golf course for his employees. It’s one of the most curious landmarks in Georgia and remains, long after Mr. Williams’s farm has fallen into neglect.
