RICHMOND, Va. – At 7:51 a.m. a massive car pileup occurred on I-61 near Williamsburg, Virginia. State police say that fog and icy roads played a part in the crash but the cause of the initial accident is still unclear, says CBSNews.

Photos from the crime scene look unreal showing the cars pressed into one another, windows smashed and hoods of the cars crumbled.

Thankfully there were no deaths, however, 51 people were injured and two of them are in critical condition, according to CBS.
