MADISON, Fla. – A bizarre bank robbery in downtown Madison as folks inside deposited their Friday paychecks.
It happened around 2 o’clock at the Wells Fargo on Highway 90.
One woman says the robber – dressed in drag – held up the teller. A man at the next window then chased him out of the bank.
The man who chased the robber told us he did fire a shot at the man, but it didn’t hit him.
Soon afterward, Madison County deputies arrested four people in a gold getaway car at an I-10 truck stop.
The bank was shut down for the rest of the day.
