MADISON CO., Fla. – A 56-year-old man is dead after losing control of a 2016 Arctic UTV.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the man and a 49-year-old passenger were riding north on NE Blue Ridge Landing Ave around 4:45 p.m.
Troopers say the man overturned while trying to go around a left curve. The UTV then rotated about 90 degrees and left the roadway. It began to overturn, throwing the driver from it. The UTV then landed on top of the driver.
He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The passenger suffered minor injuries.
The driver’s identity is not being released until next of kin is notified.
