Second arrest made in Grinstead murder

ALBANY – A second arrest has been made in connection with the 2005 murder of a Georgia teacher.

Bo Dukes, 32, was arrested Friday morning and charged with concealing a death, hindering an arrest and tampering with evidence. Dukes is now out on more than $16,000 bond.

The arrest comes just a week after a major break in this decade old case. On February 23, authorities arrested Ryan Duke for the murder of Tara Grinstead.

Duke and Dukes were former classmates at the high school were Grinstead worker.

A gag order has prevented law enforcement officials from speaking about the case, but a warrant for Ryan Duke states investigators believe he entered Grinstead’s home and used “his hands in an offensive manner with the intent to do serious or bodily harm,” causing Grinstead’s death.

While there are many questions left unanswered, this week authorities are searching for Grinstead’s remains at a pecan farm in Fitzgerald, about 60 east of Albany.
