COLQUITT Co. – A $1 million bond has been set for a man suspected of murdering five of his friends in Colquitt County earlier this year.

Jeffrey Peacock was arrested in May after allegedly shooting five people to death inside a home on Rossman Dairy Road and then setting the house on fire.

The bodies found at the scene were those of 21-year-old Jonathon Edwards, 20-year-old Alicia Norman, 21-year-old Reid Williams, 21-year-old Jones Pidcock, and 22-year-old Jordan Croft.

Three dogs were also found dead at the home.

Peacock has not yet been indicted by a grand jury. By Georgia law, Peacock is entitled to a bond after being held for 90 days without an indictment.

Prosecutors in the case asked for a $5 million bond Thursday. The judge set the bond at $1 million.

Peacock currently remains in jail, but if bond is posted he will be on house arrest with an ankle monitor.
