
COLQUITT Co. – A Colquitt County teenager died in wreck Tuesday morning after colliding with a mobile home being pulled by a semi-truck.
At approximately 8 a.m., deputies with the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office responded to an accident on Highway 37 near mile marker 20.
Charles Harrod Jr., 16, was driving westbound in a Jeep when he reportedly crossed the center line and struck a mobile home being pulled by a semi-truck traveling eastbound.
Harrod’s vehicle rotated counterclockwise and came to a rest in the north ditch, facing south.
The truck driver was not injured in the incident.
Investigators are trying to determine why Harrod’s vehicle crossed the center line.
