THOMASVILLE – A school school administrator at a Thomasville private school was charged last week for felony child cruelty, and an incident report released by officials this week offers details of the allegations that led to her arrest.

Linda McLean, 66, director at Favor Christian Academy, was arrested Friday by the Thomasville Police Department.

According to police report, McLean hit an 11-year-old girl on the hand, grabbed her neck, pushed her against a wall and choked her.

McLean told the child “she would choke the life out of her,” according to the report.

McLean has denied the charges.

In 2001, McLean was charged with battery against a child and was sentenced to a year probation under first offender status. If convicted of this latest charge, she could be facing five to 20 years in prison.
