VALDOSTA – Investigators are searching for a suspect who who robbed a Valdosta Burger King at gunpoint Sunday night.
At approximately 11:15 p.m., the Valdosta Police Department responded to the Burger King at 1801 N. Ashley St. in reference to an armed robbery, said VPD Lt. Adam Bembry.
“When officers arrived on scene, it was reported that an unknown male subject with a facial covering came into the business with a handgun and demanded money. The offender reportedly took an undisclosed amount of currency and left the scene. No injuries were reported,” Bembry said. “A K-9 unit responded to the scene as well as additional assistance from Valdosta Police Department Detectives. Crime Scene Technicians from the Valdosta/Lowndes Regional Crime Laboratory were also called to gather evidence.”
Investigators are currently analyzing evidence and interviewing witnesses as the investigation is still active.
