PAVO, Ga. – A tree trimmer in Pavo died Wednesday night in what authorities are calling a “freak accident.”

Adam Woodard, 44, was reportedly cutting down a tree at a residence on Pear Street at approximately 9 p.m. when the tree fell on the bucket he was in, causing him to fall to the ground, reports WALB.

Emergency services responded quickly to the scene after 911 was called, but Woodard had already died from a head injury.
