LOWNDES Co. – Second Harvest Food Bank is teaming up with postal carriers to Stamp Out Hunger on Saturday.
Every mailbox in 30 counties across South Georgia will receive blue donation bags.
Homeowners are asked to fill the bag with non-perishable food, then put it back in the mailbox.
Your letter carrier takes care of the rest.
Last year, the food drive collected over 200,000 pounds of food. It provided around 130,000 meals to local families in need.
