VALDOSTA – Crews will be installing a traffic signal at the top of the Interstate 75 South off-ramp of Exit 22/U.S. 41/state Route 7/North Valdosta Road to alleviate congestion and move traffic more efficiently.

A loop will first be cut into the pavement and vehicle detection equipment will be installed. The only lane closure is planned for Tuesday, May 10, on the ramp and Shiloh Road, but motorists should be aware that personnel will be in and out of the road during the week. Flaggers will control traffic.

Weather permitting, installation may be complete and the signal may be operational by Friday. The Georgia Department of Transportation does not activate new signals on Fridays or Mondays.

Work starts Monday, May 9; lane closures are scheduled May 10 on the off-ramp and Shiloh Road.
