ADEL – A tip from a concerned citizen led to an arrest in a meth manufacturing investigation in Adel on Monday.

Richard Palmer, 42, was charged with manufacturing meth and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon by the Cook County Sheriff’s Office after investigators received a tip about the “cooking” and selling of methamphetamine out of a house in the 300 block of James Street.

The home was less than 250 feet from Cook Medical Center.
