A community forum and meet the candidates rally will be hosted by State Rep. Dexter Sharper. The event is to be held at Serenity Church on north Lee Street, Sunday at 7 p.m. . Sharper represents District 177.
More drug bust involving methamphetamine and ecstasy have been made in the city of Moultrie. Heather (Ray) Bates was arrested while making a delivery. Police also charged Rhonda Branch. Officers had also staked out a local motel their work led to arrests and the seizure of methamphetamine, syringes and pipes. In other action drug agents arrested Stephanie and Justin Burton of Thomasville on drug and other traffic violations.

The Associated Press reports that U.S. Customs and Border Protection arrested a female suspect travelling from Peru at Atlanta’s airport with more than 14 pounds of cocaine. The cocaine was valued at $450,000.
Law enforcement agencies continue their search for Adel resident Timothy Blake Morrison age 24. The last contact with Morrison was April 18th and officials believe that he may be in the Hallendale Beach, Florida area.
