DORAVILLE, Ga. – Police are still searching for a Georgia 18-month-old who has been missing for days and is believed to be in danger.

Investigators believe the child, Carter Willis Johnson, may be in Miami with his father, Willis Johnson.

The child is believed to be in “extreme danger” due to an alleged physical confrontation between the child’s father and mother. An Amber Alert was issued Friday.

Carter has been with his father since an April 1 custody exchange at a police parking lot. The father failed to return the boy to his mother on Sunday.

Police are urging Willis to hand the child over and resolve any custody dispute within the court system.
