MOULTRIE – Investigators are searching for evidence in the Sunday afternoon shooting of a woman at a Moultrie park.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., the Moultrie Police Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation responded to the 300 block of 7th Street Northwest near the Ryce Community Center in reference to the shooting.

Investigators have not released the victim’s name and say it is not clear why the woman was targeted, reports WALB.

No one else was injured by gunfire. Police have questioned people who were in the area at the time of the incident.
