SANFORD, Fla. – A central Florida substitute teacher was arrested Tuesday after she allegedly showed up drunk in a classroom of second-graders.
Holly Joel, 52, faces charges of disorderly intoxication, child neglect and disturbing the peace, reports the Orlando Sentinel.
Joel reportedly was unable to tell the school’s principal what day it was. She also stumbled and fell when asked to stand and slurred her speech, officials said.
Joel allegedly had a water bottle filled with a pink liquid that was alcohol.
