PELHAM, GEORGIA – A fight that broke out during a basketball game escalated into a deadly shooting in Pelham Thursday night.

At approximately 10:30 p.m., the Pelham Police Department responded to a reported shooting outside of a housing authority complex in the 400 block of Cemetery Road.

Investigators believe the shooting occurred after a fight broke out during a basketball game, and the situation escalated outside the housing complex, where an individual was shot and killed, reports WCTV.

Police have not released the name of the victim and are searching for multiple suspects.
