TALLAHASSEE — A Tallahassee podiatrist has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of his wife, whose body was found at the bottom of a swimming pool.

The Associated Press is reporting a Leon County grand jury indicted Dr. Adam Frasch on Friday, according to Chief Assistant State Attorney Georgia Cappleman.

Frasch’s attorney John Leace told the Tallahassee Democrat that testifying before the grand jury was in Frasch’s best interest to “offer them some insight into the situation and suggest some other things that they should be looking at.”

The body of Frasch’s wife Samira was found in February by a maintenance man. She had recently filed for divorce and been given temporary custody of the couple’s daughters and the house.

Frasch had been jailed since Feb. 22 on a charge of interfering with child custody.
