Gerogia-DNRSOCIAL CIRCLE, GA – The Georgia Department of Natural Resources’ Law Enforcement Division recently selected Col. Eddie Henderson as the Law Enforcement 2013 Supervisor of the Year.

Henderson currently serves as the Director of the DNR Law Enforcement Division where he oversees all aspects of the Division. He has been a part of DNR since 1982, most recently helping facilitate the transition of law enforcement into its own division.

“Col. Henderson continuously strives to strengthen and refine the professional effectiveness of the division,” said Homer Bryson, Deputy Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. “He promotes quality values throughout the division and empowers staff with the knowledge and training necessary to confidently enforce Georgia’s laws.”

Some of Henderson’s duties include supervising, both directly and indirectly, all conservation rangers and other section personnel, overseeing the enforcement of all game, fish and boating safety laws, managing the training of law enforcement personnel and maintaining a consistent, high quality, customer-focused orientation to clients, the general public and other external customers.

Col. Henderson graduated from the FBI National Academy, 211th session, in 2002. In 2006, he was elected to the Georgia Chapter Executive Board and then served as President of the Executive Board in 2010-2011.
