BAINBRIDGE, GA – Former President Jimmy Carter is scheduled to speak at Bainbridge State College.

Carter will be speaking at the college’s inaugural Arts and Lecture Series. The event will be at 6:30 p.m. at the Charles H. Kirbo Regional Center on Feb. 18. School officials say the speech is significant because Carter’s relationship with the late Charles H. Kirbo, who helped establish Bainbridge State College. Kirbo was President Carter’s close confidant throughout his political career.

The event is free and open to the public, though tickets are required for admission. Tickets will be available Monday, Jan. 27 at 9 a.m. in the lobby of the Kirbo Center. There is a two-ticket maximum and tickets are limited.
