Last year, a gallon of gas averaged about $3.42 nationwide, and 39 million Americans drove to their Thanksgiving destination. Prices at the pump in Georgia and Tennessee are about 10 cents less than last year and Florida’s average is about 18 cents less. The current national average for a gallon of gas is $3.19, 7 cents less than last week. Georgia’s average is $3.18, which has fallen 5 cents from last week.
