An alert Tift County deputy on patrol Tuesday spotted a vehicle that was known to be connected with a murder in Terrell County. Police discovered the body of 30-year old Tameda Ferguson last week at her home in Dawson. She had been shot once with a large-caliber shotgun.

Investigators had issued an arrest warrant charging 26-year old Charlie Wilson III of Byron in the murder of both Ferguson and her unborn child.

He remains behind bars in Tift County without bond.
