VALDOSTA – The Valdosta-Lowndes Parks and Recreation Authority is inviting the public to celebrate a RC Track ribbon cutting.
Release:
The public is invited to a ribbon cutting celebrating the opening of the newly renovated VLPRA RC Track at Vallotton Youth Athletic Complex. The track and adjoining platform suffered severe damages from both Hurrricane Idalia and Hurricane Helene.
The build was a partnership with Home Depot who provided the materials to re-create the track that they initially built for the community back in 2008. The RC track will be open to the public and is also home to the Mildred Hunter Center’s Remote Control Car Club, made up of local children who build and race their cars.
The ribbon cutting is set for Tuesday, April 29th at 5:00 PM. The MHCC Remote Control Car Club will hold an exhibition race immediately after the ribbon cutting.
