VALDOSTA – Valdosta-Lowndes community leaders gathered to launch the OVL’s Synergy 2030 plan and campaign.

Last Thursday night, public and private leaders from the Valdosta-Lowndes community gathered to officially launch OVL’s Synergy 2030 plan and corresponding capital campaign. A packed Historic Lowndes County Courthouse was enthusiastic about the bold strategies outlined. Lowndes County Chairman Bill Slaughter highlighted, “One Valdosta Lowndes is the opportunity to make Lowndes County the best it can possibly be.” OVL Director Mary Beth Brownlee shared her excitement, “This community’s leadership has worked tirelessly to bring this legacy initiative to fruition.” Brownlee also announced that $2 million, or 58% has already been raised of its $3.5 million goal!

As momentum continues to build, OVL is set to engage by investing in strategic community, economic, and workforce development initiatives. I would like to schedule a 45-minute time together in the next month to review the plan and the next steps moving forward.
