VPD seeks public’s help finding missing Valdosta woman

VALDOSTA – The Valdosta Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 39-year-old missing Valdosta woman.

Missing Person: Charlene McKinney, African American female, 39 years of age, 5’4’ approximately 180 pounds

On March 25, 2024, at approximately 7:30 am., Valdosta Police Officers responded to a residence in the 1300 block of JoRee Street, after a citizen called E911 to report his girlfriend missing. When officers arrived at the address, they received information that Charlene McKinney, an African American female, 39 years of age, had not been seen by her family members since the evening of March 21, 2024, walking in the Melody Lane area.

Detectives with the Valdosta Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in locating McKinney. She is described as being 5’4” in height and approximately 180 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing dark black pants. She was also wearing a black wig.
McKinney was possibly seen in the area of the 300 block of North Troup on March 24th. According to the family, McKinney is known to be in the area of the 500 block of East Central Avenue and North Troup Street area.
