Valdosta man arrested for narcotics by VPD Detectives

VALDOSTA – A 33-year-old Valdosta man was arrested for narcotics after an investigation by Valdosta Police Department Detectives.

Arrested: Jarvis Pierce, African American male, 33 years of age, Valdosta resident

On March 10, 2024, at approximately 10:35 am., Valdosta Police Department Detectives were at a residence in the 1700 block of Almond Tree Place, following up on an investigation. Detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence and contacted Narcotics Detectives to assist them. 

During a search of the residence, detectives located over 74 grams of crack cocaine, 131 grams of powder cocaine, 159 grams of an unknown white powder, 79 grams of marijuana, THC oil, and tools indicative of narcotics sales.

Detectives made contact with the sole resident, Jarvis Pierce, 33 years of age, and took him into custody.

He was transported to Lowndes County Jail and he has been charged with:

  • Trafficking cocaine-felony;
  • Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute-felony;
  • Possession of crack cocaine with the intent to distribute-felony;
  • Possession of Schedule I controlled substance THC Oil-felony; and
  • Possession of drug-related objects-misdemeanor.

“Our detectives did an excellent job working together on this case. Because of a thorough investigation, these dangerous narcotics were seized and taken off of our streets.” Said Chief Leslie Manahan.
