COLQUITT CO. – A Colquitt County High School football defensive back was one of 23 Georgia high school players to be selected in the 2023 NFL Draft.

According to the NFL Communications website, Colquitt County High School football defensive back, Jay Ward, was one of 23 high school student drafted to the NFL. A total of 243 high schools had players selected in the 2023 NFL Draft with Florida totaling 36 players drafted by NFL clubs.
