VLPRA & HAHIRA HOST FREE MOVIE
Dress the kids in their costumes and bring a blanket and chairs for a free Halloween-themed family event: VLPRA’s Movies in the Park. The Valdosta-Lowndes County Parks & Recreation Authority is teaming up with the City of Hahira to host a free movie on Saturday, October 24th at North Lowndes Park Hahira. We’re showing the Disney villain film “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil”. The live-action film starring Angelina Jolie is rated PG. The movie starts at 7:30 PM.
The movie will run on VLPRA’s inflatable movie screen, which is 20 feet wide and 11 feet tall. There is no fee for the event. Families are encouraged to attend and bring blankets or lawn chairs for seating. Picnics are welcome and there will be light concessions for sale on a cash only basis. No registration is necessary. All children must be accompanied by an adult. We ask all attendees follow social distancing guidelines.
