The Wildcats will be back at home after last week’s cancellation of their game with Tift County. They will host the 0-1 Bainbridge Bearcats who dropped a 31-16 decision to Coffee last Friday night. The Bearcats and Wildcats have played 43 times with Valdosta winning 39 of them, the last game coming in 2001 which was a 45-13 VHS win. Valdosta’s passing attack turned some heads in their opener as quarterback Jake Garcia threw for 332 yards and wide receiver Tahj Sanders had 7 catches for 159 yards. For Bainbridge, quarterback Quayde Hawkins is a college prospect and defensive back Zion Bouie is one of the top juniors in the state. He returned an interception for a touchdown in the season opener.
