Walmart has announced that it will require all Walmart and Sam’s Club shoppers to wear face coverings starting on July 20, 2020. This will affect all stores, including in Valdosta.

The new protocols come after a rise of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country, as well as a rise in face covering mandates being implemented. Walmart says that roughly 65% of their stores are located in communities with these mandates, and this move is to help them stay consistent company wide.

Another significant update will be the change to have a single entrance way into the stores with a ‘Health Ambassador’ posted to remind shoppers of the new requirements.
