COOK CO., Ga. – Thursday’s wild weather took a toll on one Adel man, Eddie Cox, who was hospitalized when a tree fell on his house and injured him on the head during the storm around 4 p.m.

Cox, 60, was sitting on his couch watching TV when the tree fell on his house on Lonnie Grimsley Road. Cox is currently recovering after surgery.

According to WALB, Cook County EMA Director Johnny West said this incident was the worst their area experienced other than power outages and downed trees.
