COLQUITT COUNTY, Ga. — On December 27 a home on Georgia Highway 202 was broken into. The sheriff says the person stole a 40 inch television, electronics, and 14 firearms.

Investigator Ronald Jordan told WGXA, “Whenever a large amount of firearms are taken they often times make it to the streets. People sell them for drugs or other reasons, for money. And they would then take those guns, take it to the streets and they can be used in crimes later on.”

Jordan added that buyers should pay attention to the prices of firearms and beware of prices that are noticeably cheaper. Homeowners should also be mindful and write down the serial numbers of valuable items.
