LOWNDES— Miko Colasito, seventh-grader, at Hahira Middle School, won the district spelling bee held at Wiregrass Technical College, Monday, January 12, 2020.
Colasito will advance to the district 9 spelling bee, which will be held February 22, in Bainbridge, GA.
Our first runner-up winner was Baines Blanton, an 8th grader at Pine Grove Middle School. Ginsey Lawlor, an 8th grader at Lowndes Middle School was our second runner-up.
Pam Guice was the caller. The judges were Dane Heard, Al Rowell, and Tammi Sims.
